– Sold OutBuy Encore® Autumn Amethyst® Azaleas for sale at Advanced Nursery Growers in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. This evergreen shrub produces dark lavender-purple flowers in spring, with repeat blooming in summer and fall.
Autumn Amethyst offers color beyond its flowers. Its green summer foliage develops attractive purple tones in cooler weather, adding winter interest to foundation beds, flowering hedges, borders, and patio containers.
Growing approximately 4 feet tall and wide, this intermediate-sized Encore Azalea is easy to incorporate into home landscapes. Plant it where it receives 4–6 hours of direct sunlight for the best flowering. Morning sun with afternoon shade is an excellent choice for our North Florida climate.
Autumn Amethyst is suitable for North Florida, the Florida Panhandle, Walton County, South Alabama, and nearby Gulf Coast areas when planted in acidic, well-drained soil. Avoid standing water and deep shade. If shaping is needed, prune lightly immediately after the spring bloom.
